Welcome to St Pius X Catholic Preparatory School
St Pius X Catholic Preparatory School and Oak House Nursery is an outstanding Independent Catholic preparatory school in Preston, with an excellent reputation for academic achievement.
We are a family, where everyone is welcomed, respected and cared for. We aim to instil in each child a positive attitude to learning and a desire to face challenge with enjoyment. We will nurture an attitude of respect towards all people and celebrate the uniqueness of the individual.
We are very proud of all our pupils, and every year we are particularly proud of their successes as they leave our school at Year 6. In 2017 11 of our pupils who sat the exams for Grammar Schools, were successful in gaining entry. Two were offered scholarships to local Independent Schools. 100% of our Year 6 children successfully gained places in the Independent School of their choice.
Our 2016 SATs results show that 93% of our children achieved the national pass rate or above; compared to the national average of 57%.
We hope that you will get a taste of our warm, friendly and family environment by browsing our website. Please do not hesitate to contact school direct for more information or for an informal visit.
