NATIONAL CURRICULUM TESTS

Here at St Pius we pride ourselves on the excellent academic achievements of our children and none more so than the excellent results that our children achieved in the new, more challenging Key Stage 2 National Curriculum Tests 2016. This year saw the most challenging tests to date, with the introduction of a new arithmetic test. The way in which results were reported also changed, pupils no longer received levels, but a scaled score. The expected standard in the test was a scaled score of 100 or above. The National Curriculum Test results for Key Stage 2 children achieving the new ‘Expected’ standard was 71% in English and 70% in Maths.
