Background and History of the School
St Pius X Catholic Preparatory School was founded in 1955 by a group of Preston businessmen to provide the best in private education. It is owned by CPS (Preston) Ltd as a non-profit making charitable trust administered by a board of governors, and welcomes boys and girls from all backgrounds between the ages of 2-11.
The School is recognised by the Department for Education, belongs to the Catholic Independent Schools’ Conference, is under the auspice of the Lancaster Diocese, and evaluated by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. The Headmaster is also member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools.
