Alumni Mark Wins Bronze at the Paralympic Games 2024

St Pius X Catholic Preparatory School Alumni, Mark Tompsett wins bronze in the Men's S14 100m backstroke at the Paralympic Games in Paris.

The 17 year old European Champion Gold Medalist represented Great Britain in Paris at the Paralympic Games. Mark broke his own British record in the Men’s SB14 100m Backstroke as he clocked 59.19 in the morning heats.

Mark Tompsett said: “It’s amazing. I don’t know how to explain it – it means everything really.

“It’s been a good day getting a British record and beating my PB, which I’ve not beaten for a while, and then almost getting it again tonight which is just amazing.”

Everyone at St Pius X are immensely proud of our Alumni Mark's achievements.
